Jacques Fricker is a physician specialising in nutrition, at Hôpital Bichat, in Paris, and a consultant for the Agence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Aliments (Afssa). For many years, he was a research fellow at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM). He is the author of many best-selling books on nutrition and slimming, including the highly popular Guide du bien maigrir.
