Do sexual modesty and thoughtful behaviour still have a role to play in a society dominated by appearances and sensationalism?
The author argues that without an adequate distance cohabitation becomes a prison. If young people are to overcome the distressing reality of so many of their relationships, they must invent creative spaces in which two people can meet to share their feelings and their freedom.
Young people, often egocentric, tend to favour the fastest, most public and most technologically advanced forms of communication (Internet, iPhone, etc.), in order to remain permanently connected to networks of “cyber-intimacy”.
