Aside from the economic stakes, the technological and industrial revolution which began twenty years ago, as well as the public successes of the Internet, mobile phones, and digital television — promises us thousands of benefits in the social, cultural, and political spheres, entirely changing modes of working, the distribution of knowledge, democratic understanding. But entry into the digital era has also brought menaces to the most fundamental values of our society: truth and authenticity, property, and classical concepts of authorship, private life, and pluralism.
Cohen-Tanugi’s book will allow the reader to better navigate, understand, and if possible, to better master and influence these evolutions which are creating the world of tomorrow.
