The Courage to Change (Coll. Poche) Publication date : May 1, 2003

Like most of us, you have probably felt the desire to change jobs or career, to change partners, or even to change absolutely everything in your life. You have fantasised about the changes you would make, and then, like most of us, you have given up your dreams as unreasonable, too risky, or too difficult. What would happen if, instead of stifling your desire to change, you took it seriously? What would happen if you really gave yourself the means to transform your life while changing yourself? Willy Pasini and Donata Francescato bring together their respective skills and show you how to successfully implement both your inner and outer "transformations". They describe the main factors that can facilitate or block change: family history, partner’s personality, how you relate to work and money. Above all, they show how — with the help of inner courage and a bit of flexibility and daring — everyone can reconstruct their lives or, at least, have a feeling of self-renewal.

Willy Pasini, a psychotherapist, teaches psychiatry and psychology at the University of Geneva. He is the author of many books, notably, À quoi sert le couple?, Les Casse-pieds and, most recently, Les Nouveaux Comportements sexuels.

Donata Francescato is a psychologist and teaches at La Sapienza University, in Rome.
