Two hundred years after the birth of Charles Darwin and one hundred and fifty years after the publication of On the Origin of Species, a number of experts (including biologists, brain specialists, palaeo-anthropologists and social scientists) examine the wealth of current contributions to Darwinism: they trace the “evolution of evolution”, assess what has been retained of evolutionary theory in the study of the human brain, consider the question of human nature and study the issue of Darwinism and norms.

• More than an homage to a great scientist, this book, written by eminent specialists, is a perfect introduction to understanding the impact of Darwinism on contemporary thinking and science.
